L3Harris wins up to $60 million to build a ramjet counter-drone interceptor

The Army's DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center awarded L3Harris a three-year contract worth up to $60 million under the Xtended Range Counter-sUAS Missile program. The air-breathing ramjet interceptor targets small and medium drones and other short-range air defense threats, and can fire from existing launchers. L3Harris has moved into the program's second phase, flight testing a fully integrated interceptor, though no test dates were given.
