Airbus drops its Wingman drone to chase Germany's faster CCA timeline
Airbus has shelved the Wingman uncrewed combat aircraft it unveiled in 2024 and will instead develop the U760 Ravenstorm, an evolution of its Barracuda demonstrator, after customers asked for earlier service entry. Ravenstorm targets 2032, uses a business jet engine and carries 500 kg of weapons internally. A smaller U740 Valkyrie is aimed at a 2029 German requirement, while a third design remains in study.
