Oshkosh teams with Grid Aero to mass-produce the Lifter cargo drone

Oshkosh Defense and California startup Grid Aero will work together to scale production of the Lifter, an uncrewed aircraft meant to carry a few thousand pounds over a few thousand miles on cargo or surveillance missions. Grid Aero's CEO said testing needs six to 12 more months, a pilot line at Oshkosh should follow in about a year, and the goal is hundreds of aircraft by the early 2030s. No contract value was disclosed.
