Saab flies its own AI combat agents on a Gripen E fighter

Saab has unveiled a family of in-house AI agents for future combat aircraft, tested on a Gripen E and designed to work with a pilot in the cockpit or with Saab's own uncrewed aircraft. Testing has mostly covered beyond-visual-range combat. Saab is also developing three uncrewed designs toward a loyal wingman and helped found Sferical AI, a Swedish government-backed compute initiative it will use for training.
